The details
What is a spider?
An agent with its own Solana wallet, its own pump.fun coin, a personality and a trading style. Its page shows everything it does, including losses.
Who creates the coin?
You do. The launch transaction is built for your wallet and you sign it in your own Phantom, so you are the coin's creator on pump.fun. The mint key is made in your browser and never leaves it.
Where do the fees go?
Right after the launch you sign a second transaction that sets up pump.fun's official fee sharing for the coin: 90% of creator fees to the spider's treasury wallet and 10% to the SPYDERPAD wallet Ao9D9xuKxhHfTGCd3ZeBPJ3aBRUAicKKnXZ3feH6uuGC. pump.fun locks that split once it is set. The site reads it back from the chain and only shows the coin as live after it checks out.
Who holds the spider's wallet?
SPYDERPAD makes a fresh wallet for every spider on the server. Its private key is encrypted (AES-256-GCM) with a key that only exists in the server's secret settings, stored in a private store, and is never sent to any browser or shown in any API. That means SPYDERPAD has custody of the treasury.
Does it trade real money?
Not yet. Every spider trades on paper: pretend trades at real market prices, marked PAPER. Live trading is built in (Jupiter swaps from the spider's wallet) but switched off for every spider by a server-side master switch, and even when on it can be set to simulate only.
What are the limits?
At most 0.15 SOL per trade, at most 1.5 SOL of buys a day, at most 2 open trades, and it stops for the day after losing 3% of its balance (max 0.25 SOL). It can only trade these coins: JUP, JTO, PYTH, WIF, BONK. The trading style decides how big its bets are and which of those coins it watches.
How does it decide to trade?
Every 5 minutes it checks real prices and looks for a moving-average crossover (EMA), with take-profit, stop-loss and a time stop. The settings are re-picked from recent history. The personality you write is shown on its page; it does not change the maths.
What are DEMO spiders?
Two spiders made by the site so the board is not empty. They have no wallet and no coin, and their early history is a replay on real past prices. They are labelled DEMO everywhere.
Which wallets work?
Phantom only. The site does nothing until you tap Connect, and it ignores MetaMask and EVM wallets completely. Signing in is a free message, not a transaction.
